Mr. Earl Freeman Hoosier, age 82, of Warrensville, died Monday evening, September 7, 2009 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Nave, Rev. Wayne Osborne and Rev. Jim Greer officiating. Burial will be held in the Patrick-Howell Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Hoosier was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, July 6, 1927 to the late Frank and Dora Stanley Hoosier. He worked as an Assistant Janitor at West Jefferson Elementary School, Blue Ridge Elementary School and Westwood Elementary School. He is survived by his wife, Cecil Elizabeth Patrick Hoosier; two sisters, Flossie Eastridge of Warrensville and Mary Jane Daugherty of Warrensville; a step son, Billy G. Bass of Jefferson; a step daughter, Nancy Severt of Winston-Salem; several nieces and nephews also survives.
