Obituary of Janice Pope Williams

Janice Pope Williams, 80, of Jefferson passed away Monday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Black Creek Town Cemetery, Black Creek. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Debbie W. Williamson of Jefferson; grandsons, Jesse N. Williamson of Raleigh, Jeremy Williamson of Wilson and Chris Williamson of Ohio; granddaughter, Beth Daniel of Wilson; great-grandson, Layne Daniel of Wilson; great-granddaughter, Laurelei Daniel of Wilson; brothers, Don Pope and wife, Georgia of Garner and Jerry Pope and wife, Eunice of Thomasville, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Williams; daughter, Valerie Lynn Williams; son, James “Jimmy” Thomas Williams; sister, Joyce Talton and her parents, Thomas and Daphne Pope.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pam Aparacio and Generations Adult Day Care Center for all the love and care given to Janice.
