Mrs. Bobbie Marie Wyrick Black, age 87, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Halsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will received friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday; one hour prior to the funeral service.. Mrs. Black was born in Ashe County on October 1, 1931 to the late Benjamin and Annie Bell Bare Wyrick. She was a babysitter for many years. She enjoyed working in her flowers around the house and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife and mother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Iva Lee Black Atwood; a son, Benjamin "Benny" Black; a brother, Clarence Wyrick; five sisters. Mrs. Black is survived by: her husband, Rob Black; a son, Robbie Black and wife, Christine, of Fleetwood; a sister, Willa Gray Dishman, of Jefferson; five granddaughters; a step granddaughter; a step grandson; a great granddaughter; a great grandson; a step great-grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
