Obituary of Ina Ruth East

Mrs. Ina Ruth Phillips East, age 100, of Ashe County, passed away Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Leashomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkett Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. East was born in Ashe County, NC on April 10, 1918 to the late Rommus and Julia Marsh Phillips. She worked many of years as an Electrolysis. She enjoyed traveling and eating a good meal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul East; and a baby daughter at birth.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
