Mrs. Margaret Ruth Lewis Bare, age 77, of West Jefferson passed away Monday evening, March 18, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Harless and Rev. Tom Graybeal officiating. Burial will follow in the Obids Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Bare was born in Ashe County on July 14, 1941 to the late Everette and Maggie Arnold Lewis. Margaret loved her gardening, sewing, and in her spare time she loved to read. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband; Raymond Weldon Bare. Mrs. Bare is survived by a son, Tony Bare and wife, Lisa, of Navarre, Florida; two daughters, Kelley Bare-Blevins and husband, Ronnie, of West Jefferson and Karin Bare and Bryan, of West Jefferson; two sisters, Louise Adkins of Greensboro, and Barbara Williams and husband Chris of Richmond, VA; four brothers, Randy Lewis and wife Naoma, of Hudson, Charlie Lewis and wife Nancy of Jefferson, David Lewis and wife Viona of West Jefferson, and Mark Lewis and wife Glenda of West Jefferson; five grandchildren, Jordan Bare, Meghan Blevins, Leanna Blevins, Madison Bare and Sophia Bare; several nieces and nephews also survive.
