Mr. Earl Roger Lewis, age 78, of Todd passed away Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Rash officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Lewis was born in Ashe County on June 11, 1940 to the late James and Alice Church Lewis. He worked as an Architect draftsman. He was involved in many buildings here in Ashe County; such as Ashelawn Memorial Gardens for J.D. Boone and he also designed J.D.'s own house. He was a very talented man. Earl attended Blackburn's Tabernacle and enjoyed photography in his spare time. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Connie Greer Lewis; a brother, Kermit Lewis and wife, Ellamae, of Mountain City, TN; a special brother-in-law, Jonathan Greer of Hudson, NC; a special nephew, Timothy Graham, of Todd; two furry dogs, Andy and Nemo; several nieces and nephews also survive.
