Mr. Mark James Taylor, age 45, of Jefferson passed away Sunday morning, March 31, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 4:00pm at Peak Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Tim Sizemore and Rev. Ed Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Peak Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019; one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Mark was born in Ashe County on April 20, 1973 to the late James Walter Taylor and Eula Sheets Taylor. He enjoyed riding horse and helping others; always willing to lend a hand. Mark was a hard worker. He was a loving husband, son and brother; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, T.J. Black. Mr. Taylor is survived by: his wife, Kay Sheets Taylor; his mother, Eula Sheets Taylor, of Jefferson; three sisters, Sherry Black and husband, Tim, of West Jefferson, Theresa Taylor and husband, Wayne Johnson, of Laurel Springs and Lisa Taylor and husband, Danny, of Laurel Springs; a twin brother, Michael Joe (Mike) Taylor, of Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the home of Eula Taylor at 724 Low Gap Road In Jefferson.
