May Jehovah God sustain you at this time of such great loss. Psalm 34:18,19 "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Best Commander during my time at the 682 ASOC! I recall a HQ Operational Readiness Inspection that sent our whole squadron to Ft Bragg, during convoy in the back country of NC we came across a road sign that read "Hancock's Pass", I think that's the name. We took pictures of then LT Col John Hancock standing next to the sign. The world has lost a great man and I will never forget him! God Speed Colonel!

John was a good friend and we spent many hours cycling together at Fort Jackson. We shared our memories of Vietnam as we rode. The best thing about John was his pleasant spirit as he always seemed to be enjoying life. I’ll miss riding with him.
