Mrs. Lenoir McNeill Elliott, age 84, of West Jefferson passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 3:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin York officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30pm on Monday, April 22, 2019; prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Elliott was born in Ashe County on April 1, 1935 to the late Garfield and George Annie Hoosier McNeill. She was a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a wonderful cook especially famous for her pies and macaroni-n-cheese. She was an excellent seamstress. She made wedding dresses and the school's cheerleading uniforms. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Elzie Elliott; two brothers, Sanford McNeill and Robert McNeill; a sister, Charlotte Bare. Mrs. Elliott is survived by two sons, Keith Elliott and wife, Carol, of Deep Gap and Garry Elliott and wife, Tammy, of West Jefferson; two daughters, Sheila Blevins of West Jeffersonand Anita Johnson and husband, Tom, of Grassy Creek; a sister, Sharon Hennis and husband, Jimmy, of Raleigh; two brothers, Garvin McNeill, of Jefferson and Bernard McNeill and wife, Linda, of Lansing; five grandchildren, Dusty Elliott and wife, Brandy, of Jefferson, Buffy Sisk, of Hickory, Jonathan Blevins, of West Jefferson, Kelly smith and husband, Brian, of Fleetwood and Brandon Johnson and wife, Krissy, of Grassy Creek; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the home of Garry and Tammy Elliott at 179 Rainbow Road in West Jefferson.
