I just heard the sad news of Dr. Summey passing. He was my Dentist from early childhood to well over 30 years. During my time as head of security at Jefferson Landing, I always liked seeing Dr. Summey and his warm family having dinner together at the club house. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Summey and to the entire Summey family.

Dearest Summey Family,
Dr Summey has a very special place in my heart and I am so saddened by his passing. Not only was he my dentist growing up and throughout most of my adult life, he also inspired and supported me throughout my dental hygiene journey. I have such wonderful memories of his big smile and kind heart and they will forever be cherished.

I can not to begin to imagine the loss and shock you find yourselves in at this time. We all hoped Dockie would live to 100 and I truly believed he would. I have known Dockie for my whole life but was honored to be able to develop a close working relationship and true friendship over the past 5 years. My favorite days at work we’re the days he was there. We had great conversations daily ranging from the stock market, family, business, God, and highlights of our pasts. Bronda and I are so sorry for the loss of a dear friend and we offer our condolences to all the family. Doc was a wonderful person inside and out. He became our Dentist over 50 years ago and was always kind and caring in every way. I have so many memories of our golfing that I could write a book. I will end with a couple of things that stand out, one was no matter where his ball landed for his next shot he would say "Perfect" and the other was when Jan C. would say" no one has hit in the water yet" then Doc would hook his shot into the water walking back to the cart smiling and shaking his hand. Oh, I forgot another good one and I wont say who said this "He has a great drive but he does not have a second shot". I told you I could write a book. I will always cherish these times and will miss my buddy.
