Obituary of Dolores Mary Hampton

Dolores (Korap) Hampton, age 84, formerly of McKeesport, Pennsylvania died June 4, 2019 at Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, NC.  Dolores was born July 6, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Godek) Korap.  She is survived by her husband, James Edward Hampton who resides in West Jefferson, NC.  Dolores also leaves behind her daughter Michelle (Jody) Blevins of West Jefferson, NC, son James (Susan) Hampton of Ormond Beach, FL, and son Scott Hampton of Locust Grove, VA, as well as three beloved grandsons, Bradley Hampton, Trevor Hampton and Nash Hampton.  Dolores also leaves behind several aunts, nieces and nephews, and friends that were like family.  She was preceded in death by her 9 brothers and sisters whom she loved dearly.  Dolores was a dedicated wife, mother and friend to anyone that knew her.  She enjoyed the holidays and giving of her heart.  In her younger days she tended to her home, loved cooking and walking on the trail with her dear friend Gail Fleckenstein.  Dolores was a true friend and the best neighbor that anyone could ask for.  She loved playing with her grand pups and feeding the birds, squirrels, and rabbits.  She cheered for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers and her blood ran black and gold.  Dolores was a child of God who remained faithful to the end.  A memorial service will be announced at a later time.  Condolences may be sent C/O Michelle Blevins at PO Box 1736, West Jefferson, NC 28694.  Memorial contributions are suggested to your local church or ministry in Dolores Hampton’s memory or to say a mass in her memory.
