Obituary of Noah James Parlier
Mr. Noah James Parlier, better known as "Ted" age 94, of Fleetwood, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2009 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Goodman and Rev. Fred Houck officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, two hours prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Parlier was born in Watauga County on Wednesday, January 13, 1915 to the late James Jackson and Maggie Margaret Ray Parlier. He regularly attended Baldwin Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Pearl Cook Parlier; a son, Edward Eugene Parlier of Fleetwood; two daughters, Vivian Goodman and husband, Lawrence, of Fleetwood and Barbara Gentry and husband, Bobby, of Abingdon, VA; six grandchildren, Beverly Wright, Judy Current, Lisa Greenway, Richard Goodman, Cynthia Thomas and Kim Poe; nine great-grandchildren Hanna Goodman, Caleb Goodman, Savannah Poe, Madlyn Goodman, Malachi Poe, Caroline Current, Camden Current, Nelson Greenway and Titus Poe; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Mrs. Parlier, 1363 Paul Goodman Road, Fleetwood, NC 28626.
The family will be meeting at the home of his daughter, Vivian Goodman at 1363 Paul Goodman Road in Fleetwood.
