Mrs. Catherine Farmer Wyatt Doty, age 69, of Creston, passed away Monday morning, June 10, 2019 at N.C. Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Weaver and Rev. Brandy Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Pond Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Doty was born in Ashe County on August 12, 1949 to James W. Farmer and the late Lois Calhoun Farmer. Catherine was a member of Farmers Memorial Baptist Church; she enjoyed singing for the Lord. She was a wonderful mother and cared deeply for her children. She enjoyed cooking for them and was a good Christian woman; she was good to everyone. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Elmer Wyatt and Ernie Doty; a son, Terry Wyatt; a grandson, Tommy Wyatt; three brothers, Jimmy Farmer, Larry Farmer and Randy Farmer. Mrs. Doty is survived by: three sons, Elmer Wyatt and wife, Joyce, of Portland Oregon, Mike Wyatt and wife, Trisha, of Portland, Oregon and Justin Timpy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Jewel Doty and husband, Ryan, of Heyburn, Idaho; her father and step mother, Jim and Janie Farmer, of Creston; a brother, Rev. Danny Farmer and wife, Ann, of Creston; a step brother, Jeff Parsons, of Crumpler; a step sister, Sherry Richardson, of Creston; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the home of her brother, Rev. Danny Farmer at 789 N. Flatwoods Road in Creston.
