Mr. Robert Donald Hoosier, age 68, of Todd passed away Sunday morning, September 28, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Rash and Rev. J.D. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service at the church. Mr. Hoosier was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, May 21, 1940 to the late Walter and Annie Mullis Hoosier. He was a retired car dealer. He was a member at Laurel Knob Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Goodman Hoosier of Todd; a brother, Russell Hoosier of Jefferson; two sisters, Anna Brooks and husband, J.T. of Bristol, TN and Mary Powers of Lansing; four nieces & four nephews also survive.
