I met Barry not long after the motorcycle wreck.
The day in the hospital we prayed and I read the 23rd Psalm to him, and once again I went to see him at his home in Mt Airy, NC with Loretta Wilson.
There I read the 23rd Psalm to him again and gave him another prayer cloth from The Johnson City Church of God.Praying for the family.

I am very sorry to hear about Barry. I met him through my friend Loretta. I visited with them many times when they were in Henderson. He was a very kind and sweet man. Thought and prayers for all of his family and Loretta during this sad time!

I send my condolences to the family, I was the pastor of the South Henderson Church of God in Henderson NC. I got aquainted with Barry through Loretta. We prayed many prayers for Barry and was saddened by his passing. Thank God that he found Jesus Christ as his saviour.. My prayers are with the family.

I am Geri Hargrove of Henderson, NC & I send cindolences to Barry's family & loved ones. When Barry had the motorcycle accident tears ago, myself & Changing Lives Prayer Line, prayed for Barry daily, several times a day. While he was in the trauma hospital area, I would call & pray for him. Truly he, like my son who had a near fatal accident, are miracles.
When Barry came to stay for awhile in Henderson, NC with my dear, sister- friend, Loretta, I would visit, talk, pray for him & encourage him. Many prayers warriors across the US, asked about him as he was recovering.
May the Lord Comfort all, save, deliver & bless all, in Jesus name.

Dear family, Barry was in my graduating class of 1971 from Beaver Creek High in West Jefferson. He always had a smile for everyone and had a very quiet nature, very respectful and kind. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, and he will be sorely missed by his family, I'm sure.
Although we lost contact over the years, I will always remember Barry.
