Mr. Keenan Brandon Staley, better known as "Brandon" age 38, of West Jefferson passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 4:00pm at the homeplace at 138 Saddle Gap Road in West Jefferson with Rev. Fred Steelman officiating. He was born in Watauga County on August 1, 1981 to the late Keenan Raoul Staley and Teresa Eller Sexton. He worked as an Assistant General Manager at Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock. Brandon enjoyed playing video games and reading. He was a good-hearted man; always willing to help anyone. He was a loving son; and will be missed by all Mr. Staley is survived by: his mother and step father, Teresa and Chris Sexton of Lansing; a brother, Murphy Godwin, of Seattle, WA; maternal grandfather, Howard Eller, of West Jefferson; maternal grandmother and step grandfather, Rosa and JD Jones, of Warrensville; paternal grandmother, Barbara Staley, of West Jefferson; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family, c/o Boone Family Funeral Home, PO Box 786, West Jefferson, NC 28694. Food may be delivered at 138 Saddle Gap Road in West Jefferson on Sunday.
