Obituary of Jimmy Douglas Johnson

Mr. Jimmy Douglas Johnson, age 66, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service will follow the receiving friends. Mr. Johnson was born in Ashe County, NC on April 26, 1953 to the late Lewis Wilborn Johnson and Gertrude Owens Johnson Reeves. Jimmy retired from United Chemi-Con Mfg., after work 40 years. He enjoyed collecting antiques and gem stones. He surfed the internet for his treasure hunts. He enjoyed listening to the 70's music. He also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shani Dishman; two brothers, John Johnson and Bob Johnson; a sister, Pat Eastridge. Mr. Johnson is survived by: three daughters, Angie Farmer and husband, Rick, of Fleetwood, Scarlet Dishman and husband, Barry, of Crumpler and Rachelle Johnson, of Jefferson; three brothers, Benny Johnson, of Fleetwood, Charlie Johnson and wife, Barbara, of Wilkesboro, Carl Johnson, of Lansing, Clyde Johnson, of Richland, New York and Tom Johnson and wife, Anita, of Grassy Creek; four sisters, Brenda Miller and husband, Mike, of Wilkesboro, Ruth Pruitt and husband, Mikie, of Greenville, TN, Ann Blevins and husband, Sam, of Jefferson and Pearl Johnson of Creston; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be appreciated. The family will be meeting at the home of Rick and Angie Farmer at 203 High Meadow Lane in Fleetwood.
