Obituary of Harold Walter Eldreth

Mr. Harold Walter Eldreth, age 67 of Lansing, passed away Thursday morning, October 24, 2019 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3pm at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathon Stansberry, Minister Danny Miller, Rev, Tommy Dollar, and Elder Lundy Finley. Burial will follow in the Eldreth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1-3pm, two hours prior to the funeral services.

Mr. Eldreth was born in Ashe County on December 21, 1951 to the late Wayne and Edna Mahaffey Eldreth. Harold was a member at New Home Baptist Church. He enjoyed building cabinets and raising goats.

He is preceded in death by two brothers; Elmer and Earl Eldreth.

Mr. Eldreth is survived by his wife; Betty Phillips Eldreth, two step-daughters; Tamala Hurley and husband Randy of Lansing, Cindy Jones Roten of Creston, one step-son; Jonathan Jones of Missouri, three brothers; Carroll Eldreth and wife Ann of Asheville, Worth Eldreth and wife Dare of Creston, and Donald Eldreth and wife Inez of Jefferson, two grand-daughters; Harley Osborne McKiddy and husband Drake of Crumpler and Makala Osborne Bare of Jefferson, four great-grandchildren; Navealynne Parker, Marcus Bare, Triton McKiddy, and Lochrin McKiddy, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
