Obituary of Roger Darrell Addison
Mr. Roger Darrell Addison, age 64, of Crumpler, passed away Tuesday night, January 21, 2020 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Senter Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.
The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Saturday at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Roger was born September 21, 1955 in Kingsport, TN to the late Clint and Ann Brandenburg Addison. His family later moved to Winston Salem. Roger graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School and immediately enlisted in the US Navy in 1972. He was a fireman and boiler specialist on the ship. After his discharge from the Navy he returned to Winston Salem and started a career in petroleum equipment. Roger and Sandy worked together and were married in 1984. Alex was born in 1989 and all returned to Ashe County in 1994. Roger started his own business (Addison Petroleum Equipment Service). He traveled all over the East coast until he become sick in 2010. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friends and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife; Sandy Little Addison, son; Alex Addison and wife Christie of Laurel Springs, two brothers; Clint Addison of Gastonia and Andy Addison and wife Debbie of Georgia, several nieces and nephews also survive.
