Mr. Jerry Wayne Greer, better known as "Toot", age 68, of Lansing passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. A private burial will be held. Mr. Greer was born in Ashe County on September 7, 1951 to the late Paul Greer and Lois Mae Phillips Greer. He retired from Vannoy's Construction; where he ran heavy machinery. Mr. Greer is survived by: His mother, Mae Phillips Greer, of Lansing; two brothers, Everette Hamm better known as "June" of Lansing and Dean Greer and wife, Mary, of Creston; a sister, Sandra Miller better known as "Sis" and husband, Tuck, of Warrensville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
