I knew Sherry and her family from Mt. Jefferson Presbyterian Church. She was a warm, kind, and wonderful person. She would call me at times when she had a Schnauzer to place, knowing that I am an animal lover, too; and have rescued many animals. Her spirit lives on. She will never be forgotten by the many lives she touched. My condolences to her loving family.

When I started in the NICU at Baptist 37 years ago, Sherry was there to help show me the way. She always had a kind and loving spirit. We shared a love for animals and often swapped pet stories. Even though I am a UNC graduate, she liked to talk to me about NC State because my two boys graduated from there. She often mentioned her nieces and how proud she was of them.
Sherry will be dearly missed.

We took care of this one baby and fell in love with her and ended up going to her funeral together. That was 42 years ago. She took my son, Michael’s first sonogram in 1985. Thank you for 42 years of friendship.
