Mr. John Tracy Bower, age 52, of Purlear, formerly of Ashe County passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Westwood Nursing & Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 7:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2020; one hour prior to the memorial service. Mr. Bower was born in Ashe County on December 21, 1967 to John Francis and Loraine Lovell Bower. He worked as a truck driver for Shatley Paving Company before his car accident. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a loving father, son and brother; he will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Bower. Mr. Bower is survived by: a daughter, Bridgette Caudill and husband, Justin, of Millers Creek; a son, Aaron Francis Bower, of Jefferson; his parents, John & Loraine Bower, of Jefferson; a brother, Danny Bower and wife, Cindy, of Jefferson; a sister, Nina Graybeal, of Deep Gap; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
