Obituary of Kimberly Dawn Vanderslice

Mrs. Kimberly Dawn Johnson Vanderslice, better known as “Kimmy”, age 50, of Bear, Delaware passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Christiana Hospital in Delaware. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 12pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Powers Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11-12pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Vanderslice was born on September 7, 1969 to Richard and Edith Miller Johnson. Kimmy enjoyed being in the outdoors; camping, canoeing, and playing volleyball. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her father; Richard Lavern Johnson. She is survived by her husband; Daniel Vanderslice, one daughter; Lindsey Carolina Vanderslice of Bear, DE, her mother; Edith Johnson of Grassy Creek, one sister; Lorie Bradt of Bear, DE, two nieces; Alissa and Micheala, two nephews; Jesse and Connor, Mother-in-Law; Patsy Proud and Stepfather-in-Law; Gary Proud of DE, Father-in-Law; Dave Vanderslice Sr. and Stepmother-in-Law; Diane Vanderslice, Brother-in-Law; Dave Vanderlsice Jr., Sister-in-Law; Deanna Vanderslice, Aunt; Barbara Beaman, and Uncle; Rusty Beaman are also survived.
