Mr. Joel Fitzgerald Miller, better known as "Joe" age 56, of Crumpler passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Miller was born in Ashe County on November 3, 1963 to the late John Carlton Miller and Jo Fitzgerald O'Neal. He worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and antiques. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by: a daughter, Staci Miller (Thomas), of Glendale Springs; his mother, Jo O'Neal, of Independence, VA; two brothers, Jeff Miller, of Independence, VA and Bill Miller, of Gainesville, GA; a granddaughter, Lillian; a granddaughter on the way.
