Sandy, I am saddened to hear about Dallas. He was a great person. He will be missed by so many. He loved life and being with people. He made friends wherever he went. I am so happy that you both had a wonderful life over the last 31 years. I know this is a difficult time but God will be there for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have missed seeing you both since I retired but never stop thinking about all of the special people I had the opportunity to help. May God be with you. Kathy Sheets

Dal was one of the first Friends of the Library member I met when we moved up here 20 years ago. I was introduced to him and saw a friendly, smiling face, and a warm hug. I always looked forward to seeing him at all of our events. We're going to miss him sitting in the front row with Sandy at our Friends meetings and other library events. Rest in peace, Dal.

I enjoyed talking to Dal about all sorts of things … especially liked to hear about what he was reading. One favorite memory was when he and Sandy came as street readers at a gallery crawl to share their poetry, dressed as beatniks with a tambourine. He always had a smile and beautiful way to express his thoughts. I will miss his happy spirit!
