Mr. Rodney Gene Hurley, age 66, of Lansing passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00am at Phipps Store with rev. David Brooks officiating. Mr. Hurley was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on September 26, 1953 to the late James and Bernice Rose Hurley. Rodney graduated from Northwest High School. He worked at Vannoy Construction for 13 years and Thomasville Furniture for 29 ½ years. He is survived by his wife; Tammy Jones Hurley, two brothers; Wayne Hurley of Lansing, and Ernest Hurley of Jefferson, one sister; Violet Brooks of PA, two-half sisters; Peggy Johnson of Lansing, and Grace Miller of Wilkesboro, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
