Obituary of Mary Jane Eller

Mary Jane Hall Eller, 80 of Crumpler, entered her heavenly home on Friday, March 27, 2020. She was born November 22, 1939, in Rugby, VA, to the late Jesse J. and Mattie Barnes Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William “Bill” Eller and her brother, Frank Hall, and her sister Nancy Reedy. Mary worked as a sewist at Jefferson Apparel Factory. She was a caregiver for many throughout her life, and it suited her servant heart. Mary was dedicated to serving the Lord and her family. Mary was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. She was committed to her faith and loved to share the love of the Lord with everyone. She treasured her son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends, and embraced every moment with them. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for everyone who walked through her doors. She loved to garden and looked forward to planting beautiful flowers each Spring. She is survived by her son: William Junior Eller (Rita) of Crumpler, North Carolina. Grandchildren: Matthew Eller (Paula) of Wilkesboro, NC. Mandy Shumate (Jason) of Deep Gap, NC. Great-grandchildren: Charleston and Oliver Eller and Olivia Wolfe. Siblings, one brother, Rev. Rex Hall of Ruby, Va.; two sisters, Marie Spencer of Rugby, Virginia and Virginia Reedy of Troutdale, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Donations can be sent to Welcome Home Baptist Church. 4087 US Highway 221 N, Jefferson, North Carolina 28694, or flowers may be sent to Boone Family Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the compassion and dedication of care that was provided by many in the later part of her life.
