Mr. J.L Trivette, age 88, of West Jefferson passed away Friday evening, April 3, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Mr. Trivette was born in Ashe County, NC on June 6, 1931 to the late Jeff and Hattie Greer Trivette. J.L. served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife; Mary Trivette, two daughters; Joyce Thaxton of Alabama, and Sandra Greene of West Jefferson, one brother; Melvin Trivette of Stoney Fork, five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
