Mr. Charles Edward Mayle, age 83, of Crumpler passed away Thursday night, April 23, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Mayle was born in Brownton, West Virginia on March 5, 1937 to the late John Mayle and Velva Croston. After 42 years, he retired from Chrysler Manufacturing Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to yard sales and to Goodwill. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son. Mr. Mayle is survived by: a daughter, Donna Mayle, of Crumpler; a sister, Jenny Lou Poe, of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren Stephanie Hess, Jason Mayle, Charles Mayle, Cody Mayle and Amy Mayle; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
