Melinda was my daughter's GAL. She did a fantastic job and I'll never forget the call from the social worker and Melinda telling my husband and I that we were selected to adopt our daughter many years ago. Once my daughter went off to college, I too became a GAL. I sent cards and notes to Melinda yearly - was just about to send her my daugher's college graduation announcement.
I didn't know her well or on a personal level but I hope those who do know that the ripples of her good deeds will extend far and wide.
