Obituary of Steven Scott Hardin

Mr. Steven Scott Hardin, age 48, of West Jefferson, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2pm at Bald Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. John Elledge and Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 12-2pm at Bald Mountain Baptist Church. Steven was born in Ashe County on November 28, 1971 to Jack and Mamie Johnson Hardin Steven was employed at Skyline/Skybest for 25 years. He was also a member of Bald Mountain Baptist Church. He loved the game of golf and didn’t miss a chance to spend a day out on the course with his two daughters. He loved his family immensely and will forever be loved and missed. He is preceded in death by his mother; Mamie Johnson Hardin. Mr. Hardin is survived by his wife, Michelle Hardin; two daughters, Sarah Hardin and Ashley Hardin both of West Jefferson; his father, Jack Hardin and wife Betty Jo of West Jefferson; two brothers, Rick Hardin and wife Susie of Warrensville, and Eddie Hardin and wife Susan of Hampstead, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be receiving friends at the homeplace.
