Mrs. Marylyn Miller Webster, age 85 of West Jefferson, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2pm at Mount Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Boone with Rev. John Elledge officiating. Mrs. Webster was born in Ashe County, NC on January 22, 1935 to the late John Andrew and Daisy Maines Webster. Marylyn is preceded in death by her husband; Shirley “Jack” Webster, a son; Grant Webster, two brothers, and a sister. Marylyn being outdoors, jogging and hiking. She lived out her faith everyday and was an incredible example of the selfless and compassionate nature of Jesus. Mrs. Webster is survived by one son; James Webster of Charlotte, one brother; Junior Miller of Winston Salem, five sisters; Ellen Phipps of West Jefferson, Barbara Miller of Lenoir, Sue Jordan of Fleetwood, Ann Elliott of West Jefferson, and Patsy Simmons and husband Scott of West Jefferson, four grandchildren; Aaron Webster and wife Hannah, Justin Webster and wife Natalie, Shawn Webster and wife Jennifer, and Lori Bowen and husband Erick, seven great-grandchildren; Charlotte and Collin Webster, Layla Webster, Jack and Ruby Webster, Brooks and Callie Bowen, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
