I was saddened to learn today of my good friend's passing. William was a positive soul and a shining light in our world. He was quite the historian and we enjoyed many stories of his life experiences. He told me on several occasions that he was ready whenever the good Lord wanted to take him. I know God welcomed his faithful servant home.

Dear Preacher Burchett family, of course we are all saddened to here of Bills passing. He was such a good man and great preacher. We had the privilege of him being our Pasture two different times. We new Bill about all our lives and loved him. He is now home with his savior and family. Our loss is Heavens gain. He will be sorely missed.
Joe and Donna Hodges.

I have very fond memories of Mr. Burchett sitting on the front porch at Forest Ridge Assisted Living and telling me WWII stories. Heaven gained an angel.

Preacher Burchett was a gentle, caring man of God. He was paster at Midway Baptist Church when our family attended during my childhood. Always looked forward to his firm handshake, his smile and a piece of gum! He is fondly remembered.

It’s was an honor to have been around such an amazing man for 2 years. I had the pleasure of taking care of him at Forest Ridge. He will be greatly and dearly missed. Fly High my friend.

Preacher Burchett married my husband and I in 2001. He was 82 yrs old then and very spry. He said that we were his first outdoor wedding that he had performed and he loved it! Earlier this year I was one of the many caretakers for him at Forest Ridge and I loved helping this wonderful Man of God!! I know he is smiling in the presence of Jesus!! Chad and I love you and we will meet again some sweet day.
