Obituary of Joseph Glenn Jones

Mr. Joseph Glenn Jones, better known as "Joe" age 90, of Warrensville passed away on Sunday morning, November 8, 2009 at his daughter's home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Call and Rev. JD Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born in Ashe County on Saturday, August 9, 1919 to the late Emmett and Nola Miller Jones. He worked in a saw mill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rena Marie Gilley Jones; one son, Glenn Jones; three brothers, Carl Jones, Howard Jones and John Jones and two sisters, Ethel Shumate and Hazel Jones. He is survived by three sons, Ray Jones, of Warrensville, Cecil Jones and wife, Jackie, of Warrensville and Roger Jones, of Warrensville; two daughters, Mary Treadway and husband, Jerry, of Warrensville and Dorothy Parker and husband, Wayne, of Warrensville; a brother, Robert Jones, of Warrensville; a sister, Julie Riddle, of West Jefferson; six grandchildren, Chad Jones, Thomas Jones and wife, Pam, Debbie Blevins and husband, Mitchell, Alesia Cole and husband, Daniel, Thomas Parker, Nicole Osborne and husband, David; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a very special caretaker, Rudy McGrady, better known as "Jack" also survive.
