Mr. Ralph Junior Turnmire, age 68, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday morning, November 15, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Elledge, Rev. David Lyalls, and Rev. J.D. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home on Tuesday. Ralph Turnmire was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Everyone who come to know him also come to love him. He loved to trade on watches, dogs, or horses. He made many friends along the way and will be Greatly missed by his family and friends. He loved the lord and his family and it is a trait he has instilled in all of us. His life and the memories he left behind will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know him. He is resting with Jesus now in no more pain so until we meet again on those Golden Shores, We Love You. Rest easy papaw, your work here is done. I love you Papaw. Mr. Turnmire is survived by his wife; Sophia Turnmire, one son; Jeff Turnmire and wife Nancy of Crumpler, one daughter; Jennifer Simcox and husband Dale of West Jefferson, three sisters; Shirley Dixon of Sparta, Patsy Walton of Warrensville, and Hazel Hopkins and husband Roy of Crumpler, two brothers; Howard Turnmire and wife Kathleen of Warrensville, and Jim Turnmire and wife Gail of West Jefferson, four grandchildren; Tierra Turnmire Clawson, Khela Turnmire, Matt Turnmire, and Cody Simcox, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
