Mrs. Dorothy Selma Otterstetter Stanley, age 91 of Jefferson passed away December 12, 2020 at Margate Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be private. She was born in Bexar County, Texas on April 18, 1929 to the late Theadore and Pearl Peterson Otterstetter. Dorothy was a member at Mount Patty Church. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stanley, one daughter, Cindy, and a son Eric Stanley. Mrs. Stanley is survived by; one daughter, Vicky Hurley and husband Ben Bryce of West Jefferson, one sister, Marion Carter of Charlotte, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ashe Really Cares, 204 Beaver Creek School Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694. The family request no food or flowers please.
