Mr. Deric "Shawn" Taylor, age 51, of West Jefferson passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. A private memorial service will be held at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born in Ashe County on August 15, 1969 to the late Ray C. and Louise Payne Taylor. Shawn graduated from Wilkes Community College with a business degree. He was the owner of his own computer repair company. He had a great love for music and played the electric guitar and was the lead singer in the band "Alibi". He is survived by: his wife, Christy Campbell Taylor; two sons, Hunter Taylor, of Fleetwood and Austin Taylor, of Fleetwood; two daughters, McKenzie Taylor, of Fleetwood and Saraya Taylor, of Jefferson; a brother, Ronnie Taylor. of West Jefferson; a sister, Grethal Coldiron, of West Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
