I just now found out about Mrs Deal's passing. I'm so very sorry to hear the news and my prayers go out to the entire Deal family. I was fortunate to have Mrs Deal as my 3rd grade and 5th grade teacher. I have so many vivid memories of being in her class, my interactions with her and the love she showed...to ALL of her students. She was amazing in every sense of the word. I was, and forever will be, Super Deal #24.

Betsy and I were Meredith classmates and reared our families in Raleigh, even working in PTA together. We planned many Meredith reunions before she and Earl left for the mountains to give full-time attention to their Christmas Tree Farm. Betsy was the kindest, most giving person that I know. She was a worker-bee, If ever there was one! Betsy was a friend to everyone! Earl, Meg and Buddy - we will be praying for you and your family during these days of remembering Betsy!

Betsy Deal was one of the finest women I have ever had the privilege to know. She was always so selfless and so very concerned that others needs were met before her own.
