Mr. Bobby Clarence Francis, better known as Bob, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1pm at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Roark and Rev. Frank Woods officiating. For the friends that would like to listen to the funeral from their vehicles in the church parking lot, you may tune in on 89.7. Burial will be private. Mr. Francis will lie in state from 11-1pm at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. The family requests that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. Bob was born in Ashe County, North Carolina to Clarence Lester and Ruby Barker Francis on November 13, 1950. Bob loved gardening and carpentry work. He attended Freewill Calvary Baptist Church, and worked at Gates and AEV. Most of all, he loved his family and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Nelia Francis and Louise Francis. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years; Anita Dillard Francis, two sons; Joe Francis and wife Amy of Jefferson, and Kevin Francis and wife Tasha of Jefferson, two brothers; Lee Francis of Scottville, and Don Francis and wife Renee of Jefferson, one sister; Evengeline Davis and husband Larry of Laurel Springs, two grandchildren; Cole Francis and Madelyn Francis, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
