Mr. Johnny Columbus South, age 58, of Warrensville passed away Tuesday night, January 26, 2021 at his home. A private funeral service will be held at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Woods Cemetery. Mr. South was born in Ashe county on October 4, 1962 to Carl and Charlotte Woods South. He worked for Ashe County ADAP. He enjoyed his family and never forgot anyone he met. He always enjoyed having a stuffed animal with him. Always happy and fun loving. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Woods South; two sisters, Carlene Johnson and Tina Barker; a niece, Andrea Johnson. Mr. South is survived by: his father, Carl South; two brothers, Danny South and Mickey South, both of Warrensville; three sisters, Donna Holman and husband, Tim, of Lansing, Chris Taylor and husband, Bobby, of Mountain City, TN and Jane Weaver of Warrensville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
