Obituary of Esther Pearl Osborne

Mrs. Esther Pearl McCoy Osborne, age 85, of Creston passed away Saturday morning, January 30, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:00pm at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Brother Anthony Roark and Brother Junior Seatz officiating. Burial will follow in the Price Roark Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:00-12:00pm on Saturday; prior to the funeral service. The family does ask for you to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Mrs. Osborne was born in Ashe County on May 6, 1935 to the late Ross and Dora Neaves McCoy. She worked in textile mfg. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed music; she played the piano and sung in church. She also enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was a loving mother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester James Osborne on March 5, 2011; three sons, Jimmy Osborne, Ricky Osborne, and Michael Osborne, a sister and four brothers. Mrs. Osborne is survived by: three daughters, Pamela Roark and husband Ricky, of Creston, Mary Pennington of Jefferson, and Margaret Woods of Maryland; nine grandchildren, Jamie Osborne and wife, Kim, of Crumpler, Joey Osborne and wife, Christie, of Wilkesboro, Tracy Carter, of Wilkesboro, Rikki Osborne, of Wilkesboro, Brandon Roark, of Creston, Daniel Roark and wife, Charlotte, of Lenoir, Jessica Roark, of Creston and Monica Roark, of Creston, and Brittany Roark of Creston; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
