Mrs. Notra Richardson Swift Goodman, age 87, of Lansing passed away Monday evening, February 22, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 6:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Dollar, Elder Lundy Finley, Rev. David Lyalls, and Preacher Jonathan Stansberry officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10am at Taylor Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Thursday from 5-6pm at Boone Family Funeral Home, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Goodman was born in Ashe County on September 4, 1933to the late Wells Arthur and Aulsie Miller Richardson. She enjoyed shopping, her flowers and traveling. Notra was a member of New Home Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all! Mrs. Goodman is survived her husband; Kenneth Goodman, three sons; Tom Miller and wife Shirley of Jefferson, Allen Miller of Lansing, and Mikeal Miller and wife Martha of Lansing, three daughters; Rita Farmer and husband Bobby of Warrensville, Sandy Beach and husband Jerry of Jefferson, and Sally Lee and husband James of Trinity, NC, four brothers; Darrell Richardson and wife Ann of High Point, Ford Richardson of Maryland, Dean Richardson and wife Hilda of High Point, and Robert Richardson and wife Rhonda of Thomasville, eight grandchildren; Tanya Harpe, Ashley Kelley (Shawn), Tomie Vincent (Chad), Chasity Wellington (Jeff), Angel Jestes (Ervin), Jerry, Jr. Beach (Heather), Kristen Hartley (Christopher), and Travis Farmer (Amanda), eight great-grandchildren; Quinton Wellington, Dante Wellington, Ruby Ann McCall, Emerson Hartley, Leyla Hartley, Everett Hartley, Ava Jestes, and Clara June Vincent, two caregivers; Ella Marie Jones and Donna Miller, several nieces and nephews also survive.
