Mrs. Terrel Jean Owen Testerman, age 90, of Crumpler passed away Tuesday night, March 9, 2021 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Jack Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Healing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:00-12:00pm on Saturday, March 13, 2021; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Testerman was born in Ashe County on July 10, 1930 to the late Luther Winfield and Myrtie Francis Owen. She worked as a private caregiver. She was a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church. She loved to recite poetry and always had a sense of humor. She read her Bible continuously and knew a lot of scripture by heart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hewey Testerman; four brothers, Glea Owen, Artie Owen, Reeves Owen and Pozy Owen; six sisters, Ethel Stuart, Era Ersa Owen, Eula Hamby, Paralee Baldwin, Floye Smith, and Norrette Brinegar. Mrs. Testerman is survived by: four sons, Gary Ray Testerman of Crumpler, Larry Clark Testerman of Rosedale, MD, Jeffery Bryce Testerman and wife, Sara, of Jarrettsville, MD and Timothy Nelson Testerman and wife, Susan, of Waveland, Mississippi; a daughter, Mary Ann Testerman Zugates and husband, Tracy, of Nottingham, MD; nine grandchildren Gary Testerman, Jr, Jennifer Kobrick and husband, Donald, Morgan Testerman and wife, Jennifer, Douglas Wayne Testerman and wife, Shannon, Cara Blubaugh and husband, Dan, Candace Amber Testerman, Timothy Aaron Testerman and wife, Manda, Hilary Ann Price and husband, Michael and Nicholas Austin Zugates; fourteen great-grandchildren, Amanda Jane Baldwin, Ashley Renea Testerman, Devon Ray Testerman, Nichlas Kobrick, Jamison Kobrick, Madison Testerman, Brynlee Ann Testerman, Caleb Henry Testerman, Camden Jeanette Blubaugh, Jett Anthony Kilfoile, Hailey Bryn Kilfoile and Alina (Jean) Kilfoile, Carson Joseph Price, Brayden Michael Price; a sister , Kada McNeill, of Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
