I loved having Paul and Mabel and all their children as neighbors. Such a large family:, so much love and respect Mable had the sweetest smile and was always kind to me and to my siblings. Happy times.

Being a friend of Mike, I spent a lot of time at the Shatley home in my younger years. Mrs. Shatley always treated me like I was one of hers. I always felt welcome, and never left her home hungry. I remember her making grouse gravy and biscuits for us after successful hunts, and I remember her singing hymns around the house. I respected her immensely, and wouldn't have ever wanted to disappoint her. She will be missed on earth, but has been welcomed into her heavenly home forever.
