Mrs. Inez Howell Wagner, age 85, of Fleetwood passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Roten officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Wagner was born in Ashe County, NC on November 26, 1935 to the late Walter and Cleo Woodie Howell. Inez attended Baldwin Community Church. Inez loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Braden South. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her husband; Neal Wagner, two sons; Neal "Howell" Wagner and wife Brenda of Arcadia, FL, and Thomas "Lowell" Wagner and wife Carolyn of Fleetwood, two daughters; Rebecca "Carol" South and husband LTC(R) Dan of Newland, and Emily "Jane" Edwards and husband Darren of Todd, one brother; Carroll Howell of Sparta, sisters; Ann Winebarger of Fleetwood and Mary Lynn Caparolie of West Jefferson, nine grandchildren; SMSGT Danny (Taylor) South, SGT (R) Derek (Nicole) South, Chris Edwards, Deanna (Dale) Thompson, Damon (Michelle) South, Carmen (Jeremy) Osborne, Nicole (Josh) Smith, Caroline (Luke) Goss, Kendall Wagner, nine great-grandchildren; Cullen, Braden and Camille South, Atlas and Selah South, Danielle and Daelyn Thompson, Timber South and Cooper Osborne, several nieces and nephews also survive.
