Mr. Serafin Ruiz Ledezma, age 84, of Crumpler, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral mass service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 11:00am at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Enrique officiating. Serafin was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on April 26, 1936 to Pio Quinto Ruiz Pina and Quatalina Ledezma. He worked On Christmas Tree farms; his last job was with Poplar Grove Tree Farm in Alleghany County. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he will be greatly missed. Mr. Ledezma is survived by: his wife, Esperanza Hernandez Juarez; five sons, Pio Quinto Ruiz, Serafin Ruiz, Jose Luis Ruiz, Andres Ruiz and Juan Ruiz, all of Ashe County; four daughters, Rebeca Ruiz of Mexico, Maria Ruiz, Esperanza Ruiz and Josefina Ruiz, all of Ashe County; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
