I'm sad today to read of Frank's death. By this means I send you and and all your dear family heartfelt sympathy and concern during all these days of sorrow and loss. I know you're a person of faith. I think that's the greatest and most powerful force we have to assuage us in our grief when our loved ones are taken from us. Remember Mrs. Barlow's little memory work assignments? -------- "(We) know not where His islands lift / Their fronded palms in air;
(We) only know we cannot drift beyond God's love & care."
This still helps me along when I'm troubled by my own times of great personal sorrow. (I think John G. Whittier wrote it in one of his poems, maybe the one titled "Eternal Goodness".)
