I'm so sorry to hear this news. Dallas was such a kind man and longtime friend to my dad. When Dad passed away a few years ago, Dallas spoke at his entombment service, and we were comforted by his words and presence. Our family appreciated that so much. Later, when our paths would cross, I relished hearing his stories and laughter from their early days together -- from Tennessee Maneuvers, to WWII and beyond. I will always remember with fondness his many kindnesses to us, and I'll miss his cheerful spirit.
