Gary Harold Parsons, age 62, of Hillsville, VA died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Twin County Hospital in Galax, VA. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 3:30 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Graybeal officiating. Burial will follow in the Obids Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. prior to the funeral on Monday at the Boone Family Funeral Home. Gary was born on September 23, 1947 in Ashe County to Evazella Burgess Parsons and the late Henry Foy Parsons He is survived by his mother, Eva Zella Burgess Parsons of West Jefferson; two brothers, Gwyn Parsons and wife June of Boone and James Parsons of West Jefferson, NC; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
