Mrs. Virginia Kathleen Jordan Dixon, age 86, of Crumpler, died Sunday morning, January 10, 2010 at the Segraves Care Center in Jefferson. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonny Thomas officiating. Internment will be in the Senter Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Crumpler. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday, one hour prior to the memorial service at the Funeral Home Mrs. Dixon was born in Alleghany County on June 11, 1923 to the late Monroe and Eva Tompkins Jordan. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Dixon is survived by two sons, John Dixon and wife, Cynthia; of Crumpler and Roger Jordan, of Winston-Salem; three daughters, Brenda Haynes, of Wilkesboro, Joan Taylor, of Glendale Springs and Judy Blevins and husband, Jimmy, of Crumpler; also surviving are three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
